Phase 2 of ECOSOC Dialogue on the longer-term positioning of the UN development system in the contex

The Economic and Social Council of the United Nations decided to convene a transparent and inclusive dialogue on the longer-term positioning of the United Nations development system in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As part of phase two of the Dialogue, the Vice-President of ECOSOC, H.E. Mr. Alejandro Palma Cerna, will convene informal civil society consultations on 16 June 2016, at UN Headquarters in New York, in Conference Room F, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A draft programme is attached.

The event will be live-streamed via WebEx. This facility will allow for remote participants to watch the meeting live and submit questions to the Vice-President online. As such, engagement during the meeting (via WebEx) and feedback afterwards (via email to Kirit Patel, patelk@un.org) is welcome. Online participants will not be able take the floor to verbally ask questions or provide comments, but are requested to submit questions in the WebEx chat facility to the 'ECOSOC host'. Selected questions will be passed to the Vice President for comment.
